Howard Dixon joins ATG Danmon UK

ATG Danmon UK has announced a major addition to its engineering management team with the appointment of Howard Dixon as project manager. Based at the company’s headquarters in Hertfordshire, he will working alongside managing director Russell Peirson-Hagger, Jonathan Hughes, Scott Adams and Jon Brewer.

“Howard has been active with us as a subcontracted commissioning engineer on several projects in recent months,” says Russell Peirson-Hagger. “He has an excellent career profile including detailed experience of mainstream broadcast and IT-based infrastructure. That background is essential in today’s systems integration marketplace. He also has a good understanding of the financial aspect of the business, ensuring projects are kept within sensibly specified budget targets. We are very pleased that he is joining us as a full time member of the team.”

“ATG Danmon UK has long been one of the most successful broadcast SI service providers,” adds Howard Dixon. “Its project casebook stretches back over 20 years and includes major broadcasters in the UK, mainland Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The company’s success stems both from an understanding of the technology and the ergonomic issues involved in designing systems which are easy for non-technical people to operate.”

Howard Dixon joined Dynamic Technology on a subcontractual basis as a commissioning engineer in 1989, progressing to work with Dega Broadcast and later Sony Systems where he managed projects on both sides of the Atlantic. In 2004 he joined Ascent Media as senior project manager, active for clients such as Lifetime TV and NBC. For the past four years he has provided broadcast integration services on a subcontractual basis to clients including Al Jazeera London, JRTV Jordan, Fidelity UK, Fidelity Hong Kong, Sir John Moores University Liverpool, RTE Dublin and RTE Cork.
