IBC 2019: AJA make several announcements catered to HDR, UltraHD, and IP
IBC 2019 is underway, and AJA has announced several new products and updates that simplify broadcast, production, post, streaming, and proAV workflows in the era of HDR, UltraHD, and IP. New this year are 12G versions of the HDR Image Analyser and KUMO 3232 router, Corvid 44 12G high density I/O cards for developers, an FS-Mini frame synchroniser Mini-Converter and three additional openGear compatible converter cards. AJA also announced some incredible software and firmware updates packed with improvements for our Desktop I/O line, Mini-Converters, and FS4 frame synchronisers/converters.
HDR Image Analyzer 12G
Developed in partnership with Colorfront, HDR Image Analyzer 12G is a powerful real-time HDR monitoring and analysis solution in a compact 1RU chassis featuring high bandwidth 12G-SDI connectivity. Its comprehensive toolset advances the monitoring and analysis of HDR formats in production and post, including PQ (Perceptual Quantizer) and Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG).
KUMO 6464-12G
KUMO 6464-12G includes 64x 12G-SDI inputs and 64x 12G-SDI outputs for high quality signal routing with the scalability, single cable simplicity, security, and increased bandwidth that 12G-SDI connectivity provides. Ganged dual and quad-port routing configuration options allow users to combine multiple inputs and outputs for resolution support all the way up to 8K.
Corvid 44 12G
Now available, AJA’s Corvid 44 12G PCIe 3.0 video and audio I/O cards featuring 12G-SDI for 8K/UltraHD2/4K/UltraHD high frame rate, deep color, HDR workflows. Available in ten models including passive or active cooling variants. High density HD-BNC connector models come in low profile or full height form factors, while Corvid 44 12G BNC models include full-size BNC connectors.
FS-Mini
FS-Mini is available today and offers broadcast quality utility frame synchronization in a portable and robust Mini-Converter form factor. This compact Mini-Converter allows users to synchronize and convert a wide range of video formats to their house standard with a 3G-SDI input and output, simultaneous HDMI output, and a 2-channel RCA style audio output.
New openGear Compatible Cards
AJA has unveiled the OG-FS-Mini, OG-ROI-DVI, and OG-ROI-HDMI. OG-FS-Mini combines the functionality of AJA’s newly announced FS-Mini frame synchronizer Mini-Converter with the openGear architecture, while OG-ROI-DVI and OG-ROI-HDMI support DVI or HDMI to SDI region of interest scaling, scan conversion and image rotation in the openGear format.
New Firmware and Software Updates
At IBC 2019, AJA has also announced free firmware and software updates that bring new improvements to its Hi5-4K-Plus, Hi5-12G, and IPR Mini-Converters; KONA, Io and T-TAP family of video I/O products; and FS4 frame synchronizer/converter.
