IBC 2019: Shure serves up the latest in lavalier and headset microphones
At IBC, Shure (stand 8.B35) is presenting, for the first time, the new TwinPlex omnidirectional microphone series. The subminiature lavalier and headset microphones with their dual-diaphragm design provide natural sound, sweat resistance and come with discreet, durable cables unlike anything seen in the audio industry before.
Further on you will get the chance to have a closer look at Shure’s flagship wireless system Axient Digital with the ADX1M micro-bodypack transmitter. The ADX1M offers an internal antenna as well as a small, streamlined design for better concealment and wear against the body.
Visitors to the Shure booth can also learn more about the digital wireless systems ULX-D and QLX-D as well as the in-ear monitoring systems PSM 900 and PSM 1000 including their bodypack receivers P9RA+ and P10R+ and the Wireless Workbench 6, a software solution for monitoring and frequency coordination of wireless systems. On display will also be a choice of Shure’s broadcast products including the BRH headsets, shotgun microphones and the new MOTIV MV88+ digital stereo condenser microphone.
TWINPLEX LAVALIERS (TL45, TL46, TL47, TL48)
Shure TwinPlex lavaliers stands up to the toughest conditions to make every word a clear statement of quality. The 5mm dual-diaphragm microphones are built to take on the diverse needs of top-tier audio professionals in every setting, with reliable clarity for TV and film, tailored-for-speech audio for speaking appearances and discreet durability for broadcast usage. Designed with leading audio professionals’ input, the lavaliers are easily concealed in a costume or directly against the skin under wardrobe, and offer extensive accessories to ensure quick, easy and secure mounting—all with no impact on sound quality. The ultra-thin paintable 1.1 mm and 1.6 mm cables are immune to kinks and memory effects. Additionally TwinPlex will integrate seamlessly into existing systems, as the microphones are available in a range of sensitivities, colors and connectors.
TWINPLEX HEADSET (TH53)
As part of the TwinPlex family, the TwinPlex headset TH53 offers a natural sound combined with the ease of an ultra-light and fully adjustable headset frame. With an innovative clutch system, the TH53 headset allows for quick adjustment in boom arm length and pitch—all with a simple turn of a knob. Plus, switchable sides and a durable 1.6 mm cable with redundant ground round out this professional headset that overachieves in reliability, audio quality, and comfort.
