IBC 2024: AWS launches a free digital learning plan for content production workloads
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a free digital learning plan: AWS for Media & Entertainment – Content Production Foundations. The learning plan provides training that allows content production teams to upskill their staff on cloud workflows. It is the second learning plan created by AWS Media & Entertainment (M&E) solution experts to train executives and industry professionals to run media workloads in the cloud.
AWS offers many service-based courses, but customers new to the cloud or content production frequently report they don’t know where to start. Learners may not be aware which AWS services to use in Content Production workflows or which configurations are important.
The learning plan details the roles, concepts, services, and considerations specific to cloud-based Content Production workflows, eliminating time spent searching for relevant courses and streamlining learning time. Completing this foundational training prepares technologists to dive deeper into more advanced, technical learning on the topics that matter most.
“Time and again, we hear from customers that upskilling is critical to their migration and innovation efforts,” says Samira Panah Bakhtiar, General Manager of Media & Entertainment, Games and Sports at AWS. “To meet this moment of reinvention, AWS provides educational solutions that simplify learning and remove friction from customer experiences. We launched our first M&E learning plan last year, Direct-to-Consumer & Broadcast Foundations, which saw great feedback and focused on the AWS tools that help hundreds of millions, if not over a billion, consumers receive their streaming content. Now, we look forward to more creatives from across the globe learning how the cloud can help democratize content production and bring their stories to life.”
Customers can find the AWS for Media & Entertainment – Content Production Foundations Learning plan on the AWS online learning center, AWS Skill Builder. The learning plan consists of seven thirty-minute courses ranging from introductory concepts to details on configurations and requirements for workstations, storage, and security. Structuring the learning plan into shorter courses means learners can easily find the courses they need and skip courses with subject matter they already know.
