IBC2025: Camera Corps to showcase new UHD underwater camera in Amsterdam

Camera Corps will exhibit its latest broadcast technologies at IBC2025, including its newest underwater camera system that was recently deployed at the World Aquatics Championships during the high diving events.

Engineered for submersion at depths up to 6 metres, the camera was specifically developed for aquatic sports coverage and operated in unusually demanding conditions.

Designed for robust performance in extreme environments, the new system joins the specialist remote camera systems specialists’ suite of specialised cameras and broadcast robotics and motion control systems, engineered to meet the demands of live production across sport and entertainment.

The suite now features UHD resolution and 18x zoom across both tracking and PTZ models, offering enhanced clarity and precision for professional aquatic sports and other challenging broadcast scenarios.

Notably, the new head has also been engineered with acoustic sensitivity in mind. Underwater noise can be a genuine issue, and unlike some competing systems, this unit operates quietly to avoid distracting athletes or interfering with the competition environment Camera Corps said.

In addition, Camera Corps – which is part of the Videndum group – will present a range of specialised cameras used across sports and entertainment production.

This includes the newly launched robotic nodal intelligent remote heads, expanding automation and precision control capabilities. The company will also showcase next-generation mini cameras developed for both traditional broadcast and emerging social media platforms, offering new opportunities for sponsors and content creators.

As HDR becomes a standard across the industry, even compact sports mini cams are evolving to meet these demands, an area where Camera Corps continues to lead in innovation, the company said.

IBC 2025 attendees will have the opportunity to explore Camera Corps’ full range of specialty camera solutions, including systems used in high-profile international events across sport, entertainment and live production.
