IBC2023: RT Software to unveil Tactic v7.0 and demo AR graphics
Visitors to IBC2023 will be able to see live demonstrations of RT Software’s augmented reality graphics, sports analysis graphics/telestration, newsroom NRCS integration and overlays for studios and playout automation.
Making its debut will be Tactic v7.0, RT Software’s sports analysis telestrator. Tactic v7.0’s new AI feature is AI Player Drag and Infill. This AI upgrade of a previously manual process lets users drag a player across the pitch to illustrate the pros and cons of alternative positions. The AI takes over the tedious task of filling in the empty space by automatically adding a convincing simulated background. This new feature builds on the success of AI Automatic Pitch Calibration and AI Player Tracking.
The company will also be holding a live AR demonstration on its stand. Included in the demo will be Canon’s latest CR-N500 PTZ camera which will deliver the live feeds into the graphics engine.
Visitors will be able to trial an advanced preview of the new web front end being developed for Swift CG. This builds on the success of the live production tool, Swift Live, typically used in studio environments to trigger live graphics to air. Swift Live will also be running to let visitors understand how its flexible interface can make controlling live show graphics easier for gallery operators.
Elsewhere, RT Software will also be demonstrating its commitment to interoperability by participating in two demonstrations on other vendor’s stands – Matrox and Grass Valley. RT Software will be supporting a demonstration of the Matrox Origin cloud-native, asynchronous media framework by providing its Swift graphics engine to deliver the graphic elements for the demonstrations running on Matrox’s stand. GV will be demonstrating interoperability between its partners in the AMPP Alliance area. RT Software will once again be showing its Swift Engine delivering broadcast graphics as part of an entire broadcast chain in the cloud.
