IBC2023: Telestream introduces GLIM 2.3

Telestream has release GLIM 2.3, the newest evolution of its solution for media professionals to play back and inspect media remotely, unhindered by specialised hardware or proprietary software platforms.

Features of the latest release include optimised live edit mode, which enables users to leverage open files from Lightspeed Live Capture – instrumental for real-time, hiccup-free editing; enhanced timeline control, a new Timecode Type ‘Frame Count’, coupled with the ability to cue the timeline and specify the play head’s start time, giving users greater control over their content timeline; and direct connectivity with Telestream Vantage. With GLIM 2.3’s new plug-ins, users can now directly extract clips to Telestream Vantage for more efficient workflows.

Other additions include customisable user interfaces and a new Annotations feature that allows users to add frame-based metadata, draw on content to highlight particular areas and add notes. As multiple users can be logged on simultaneously, they can engage in real-time discussions about specific frames.

Charlie Dunn, Telestream chief product officer, said: “Our GLIM 2.3 release is another great example of our commitment to provide solutions that make media professionals’ jobs easier as content itself becomes larger and more complex than ever. We’ve designed GLIM 2.3 to adapt to the changing needs of our growing user base, rather than the other way around. Each feature, each improvement, is a step towards making media processing and management more intuitive, efficient, and collaborative.”
