IBC2023: XD Motion to showcase Arcam and IO.Bot software
XD Motion is bringing its innovations in VR, AR, automation and robotic cameras to IBC2023. This includes the latest Arcam robotic camera system and IO.Bot software.
The six-axis robotic arm of the Arcam provides full motion control and is designed to operate safely around people. It is programmed to move in 3D within a virtual sphere with a diameter of 2.5m (Arcam 10) or 3.5m (the new Arcam 20). An optional dolly can support the arm upside down.
Particularly suited for wide shot in movement, it can also be used in close shot for pan and tilt movement, or fixed. To gain space on the floor, it is possible to hang the robot on a wall or ceiling. This arm does not need any calibration and is said to be fast to set up. Arcam is augmented reality compatible for any 3D engine under the FreeD protocol. XD Motion provides all metadata for XYZ positions, XYZ angles and zoom/focus positions.
The IO.Bot software is designed by and for end users to ensure functional and ergonomic satisfaction. Users can save time and space by controlling all PTZs, Arcams and other remote head robotics with IO.Bot. The software allows a single operator to control up to 16 robotics PTZs, multiple towers and Arcams.
