IBC2024: Moments Lab to showcase latest MXT-1.5 features
Moments Lab is set to showcase the latest features powered by its multimodal AI indexing model MXT-1.5 at IBC2024. Attendees will see how MXT-1.5’s new automatic sound bite feature highlights the best quotes in a video, while moment-based and timeline searches enable editors and producers to find the exact clips they need in seconds.
Moments Lab’s scalable suite of products for media, sports, and entertainment organisations will also be available to demo, including Just Index with MXT-1.5, Cloud Media Hub, Live Asset Manager and Media Marketplace.
“We’ve seen an incredible response to MXT-1.5 from major media companies since its launch earlier this year, with several initial deployments underway in North America and Europe,” said Philippe Petitpont, co-founder and CEO of Moments Lab. “It’s a history-making year for national elections as about half the global population heads to the polls — not to mention there are several major sporting events taking place, such as the Olympics. As broadcasters are challenged to produce more content, faster, multimodal AI with features such as sound bite detection make a significant impact on video production and story creation workflows.”
Media, sports and entertainment organisations attending IBC2024 will get to experience the moment-based and timeline search features of Moments Lab’s Cloud Media Hub.
Cloud Media Hub is designed for companies that want to find a specific shot within vast media collections. The moment-based search engine enables content producers to land on exact footage, rather than hours-long video files. The new timeline view provides an intuitive way to refine results while discovering moments from specific time periods.
Moments Lab will showcase several cutting-edge features of its MXT-1.5. With automatic sound bites MXT-1.5 automatically highlights sound bites in videos, allowing journalists and editors to instantly identify compelling quotes.
The new sequences detection feature enables users to instantly find the moments they need to build a story. MXT-1.5 improves the relevancy of search results by automatically grouping shots into the editorial sequences that content producers are looking for.
Finally, MXT-1.5 automates the categorisation of videos into relevant overarching topics or themes defined by the user. By handling the mundane, time-consuming task of content classification, the technology enables media managers to focus on more strategic and creative tasks.
