IBC2025: InSync to highlight latest video conversion technologies

InSync is showing its latest video conversion technologies that ensure Tier 1 sports content is delivered at the highest level globally.

This includes the openGear frame rate conversion module, which was launched this year and is being used by a major Tier 1 European football league. Launching at IBC is the new card with ST 2110 for full uncompressed IP and SDI conversion. The first ever motion compensated frame rate converter (MCC) card for the openGear platform with ST 2110 and SDI interface, it offers high quality frame rate conversion, HDR and deinterlacing in a compact form. It achieves a record channel per rack unit density of 10 channels in just two rack units (RU), meaning five channels of HD conversion per RU.

The card contains InSync’s class leading algorithm that delivers the highest quality conversion for HD TV channels. Coupled with the company’s low power and low latency design it’s the perfect solution for multichannel environments. The space saving design reduces rack space requirements by up to five times compared with existing conversion solutions.

Also on show will be the MCC-UHD converter. Launching at IBC to answer the increasing demand for flexible, Tier 1 event-based video standards conversion, the MCC-UHD now provides flexibility with selectable single channel UHD or dual channel HD options. Tier 1 premium sports demand the highest quality video outputs and the MCC-UHD is designed to deliver the best possible results converting from frame rates as low as 23.98fps to 60fps in UHD 2160p and HD (1080i/p and 720p) incorporating a full HDR-SDR conversion and colour management suite. This product is also the first to feature InSync’s newest, improved deinterlacer algorithm for even cleaner and sharper images.
