IBC2025: Prodys showcasing breakthroughs in sports commentary and remote production technologies

Prodys is unveiling its latest innovations for Quantum2 W and Quantum2 AV at IBC2025.

WebCommentator is Prodys’ lightweight HTML5-based solution for remote sports event commentary. Integrated with Quantum2 AV, it enables up to two remote commentators to work from anywhere with just a web browser and internet connection.
Each commentator receives a video feed through an independent stream and has access to a dedicated command channel for coordination with producers or MCR technicians. No additional hardware is required — making it a simple, scalable and cost-effective solution for high-quality remote coverage.

Prodys’ Cloud Codecs introduce a flexible, virtualised solution for large-scale audio/video stream replication and distribution. This cloud-based codec can receive a live audio or AV stream and replicate it to up to 10 different destinations, each with its own streaming format. Multiple instances can be chained for unlimited distribution.

According to Prodys, it is suitable for distributing live or permanent AV channels from a central hub to multiple remote locations and broadcasting a single live event feed to multiple global takers in varied protocols.
