Riot Games will kick off their annual Hackathon on 15 September, which has been hosted for the last three years with longtime global partners AWS.
This year’s Hackathon is entitled “Rift Rewind” and the objective is for participants to create a year in review for League of Legends players that showcases the highs, lows, and all the learnings in between from a player’s matches over the calendar year.
Developers will use AWS services and Riot’s end-of-game match data to create a submission judged by Rioters and AWS representatives. $20,000 in prizes will be awarded and the top winners will have the opportunity to meet AWS and Riot tech leads to talk more about their projects, with the grand prize winners getting tickets to the 2026 League World Championship.
Similar to previous AWS Hackathons, Rift Rewind will be hosted by Devpost and those interested in participating can sign up at RiftRewind.Devpost.com starting at 4 p.m. on Monday, 15 September.
