IBC2025 will see Salsa Sound once again releasing several innovative new products that are set to continue the revolution in live broadcast audio.
At IBC Salsa will be officially releasing MIXaiR 4.0 which boasts great new features. The most significant introduction in this release is the refreshed user interface which is now fully browser-based, offering easy remote access to the software instance which can operated by any number of simultaneous users in different locations, all with customised permissions.
Salsa will also be showcasing its new video-based automated audio mixing solutions, further expanding its extensive artificial intelligence (AI) abilities and assisting broadcasters to provide even more compelling audio mixes for their customers. MIXaiR 4.0 now also supports ST2110 and NMOS management to completement the existing SRT, NDI and Dante and other audio connectivity for ease of integration in almost any system.
All of these new features build on MIXaiR’s automated field-of-play mixing for football, immersive crowd rendering, multiple commentary mixes across any audio output format (including Dolby ATMOS and MPEG-H) and loudness control, making MIXaiR the go-to, flexible and intuitive audio production tool whether mixing in the cloud or on premises.
However, perhaps the most exciting development from Salsa Sound is the introduction of their Aqua audio QC probes which can be added at any point in the production chain in MIXaiR. The probes enable easy monitoring and control of many standard audio QC processes, such as phase anomalies and loudness, but they also include the monitoring of more nuanced audio attributes such as dialogue intelligibility, profanity detection and automatic language and subject matter detection. Also included in Aqua is Salsa’s audio anomaly detector that can identify audio problems such as silence, distortion, glitching, wind and rain noise and other unwanted audio elements.
