IBC2026: Chyron to feature efficient workflows and emerging technologies

Chyron is celebrating its 60th anniversary at this year’s IBC with a stand designed to help customers explore efficient workflows and emerging technologies. 

At the heart of the stand, visitors can explore Prime, the modern platform that supports broadcast graphics, video walls, touchscreen and branding. With its data integration capabilities and configurable playout panels, Prime is an integral part of news and sports broadcast workflows for broadcasters of all sizes across the globe. At this year’s IBC, Chyron will demonstrate advances in HTML, AI and cloud production for more efficient and higher quality production

Developed for the needs of real broadcast operations, Prime HTML functionality offers users a practical path to adoption for HTML input, native creation in HTML and HTML output, all without abandoning their existing Prime skills, content investments, and workflows, including newsroom and MOS workflows. Prime HTML option is said to be ideal for customers concerned about security, data control, or cloud dependence

Information will also be available about Prime Translate, an AI-driven project supported by Nvidia to offer broadcasters the capability to translate content to multiple languages. Users may opt to have any or all of these translated: voice, facial movements and Prime graphics text. 

As more productions move out of the truck or out of the brick-and-mortar control room, Chyron customers adopt cloud or hybrid workflows across the Chyron portfolio. At the same time, Chyron Live, the cloud-native platform for graphics, vision mixing, illustrated replay and commentary, continues to expand around customer needs. Its latest advances include integration with Haivision StreamHub for managing remote video contributions, SCTE-35 ad insertion to monetise live streams, and a set of switcher, shortcut, and replay improvements designed to give operators tighter control during live broadcasts. Enhancing Live’s efficacy, potential users may purchase and deploy it on demand directly from the AWS Marketplace and may utilise their AWS credits. 

Chyron’s stand will also have an extensive demonstration area for virtual sets, augmented reality and extended reality with both a green screen area and an LED wall. Visitors can see examples of sets used by Chyron enterprise clients, learn about recent new features in VSAR (virtual sets and augmented reality) and get an overview of how these important visual storytelling tools may easily be integrated into rundown-driven workflows via Chyron Camio.

A preview of the VSAR integration with Unreal Engine’s native Motion Design plugin into the core Chyron newsroom workflow (Camio) will also be shown. Replicating Prime’s template-to-playout model, broadcasters can use Unreal’s real-time 2D/3D graphics engine natively within Chyron’s existing production ecosystem.

For virtual sets imported into VSAR, the new VSAR Controller serves as a centralised control plane managing all bi-directional communication between the Camio Endpoint and the VSAR instances. Built on a low-latency gRPC-based communication protocol, this service can manage multi-instance cluster pool orchestration, template tracking during preview and playout phases, and dynamic role mapping. Additionally, operators can configure and launch VSAR instances remotely, trigger monitoring mechanisms, and optimise resource management.

Visitors will also be able to see new features for Camio that can offer a high degree of design flexibility within the NRCS workstation, via the Camio LUCI plugin, comparable to what is available to live graphics operators in the Prime playout interface. At the show, Chyron will reveal new AI-driven efficiencies for supporting journalistic content with graphics, including images and text.

Offering flexible workflows and easy imagery creation, including maps, financial data, charts, and composite images, Axis can integrate tightly with Camio, ensuring that all visual storytelling needs can be met within the workflow. Axis can now utilise the same graphics templates accessible from Camio as guidelines to ensure alignment with the template. Conversely, Axis assets can be played from the rundown without adding them to a template and they may even be incorporated into a virtual set. 

The emphasis on connected workflows continues with Chyron Weather. Presenters can now use the tools they are already familiar with to trigger elements in a virtual environment. Chyron Weather includes additional data integrations, including Climate Data Operators (CDO), along with new data validation functionality. 

The theme of efficiency extends to innovations in Chyron’s sports analysis portfolio, enabling the creation of more fan engaging content more quickly. 

Chyron’s ZXY Tracking now includes automated PTZ Camera Control via positional tracking data. Existing PTZ cameras can be updated with a virtual camera operator that receives centimeter-accuracy positional data and translates it to camera controls, enabling automatic following of any subject outfitted with a ZXY tracking device, as well as controlling pan, tilt, and zoom.

Paint, Chyron’s integrated replay and telestration platform, includes six-camera HD recording, angle selection, analysis, branding, and playout, all managed from a single system. It will be shown at IBC with some new AI-enabled features including Cam Warp (AI-rendered flight transitions between camera angles for smoother, more visually engaging multi-camera analysis) and Player CutOut (AI-assisted player detection and masking, including partially obscured players). IBC visitors will get a practical view of how Paint supports richer analysis, faster live-production workflows, and more engaging on-air sports storytelling.

VP, Chyron’s virtual placement solution, for field marking, such as football offsides lines, and virtual placement of adverts within live video – on the field, around the pitch or on buildings –  continues the themes of efficiency and integrated workflows. Automatic Calibration Line Detection removes most of the manual line-marking work required during calibration. Initial testing shows approximately 95% line-detection accuracy, reducing the overall calibration process from about 30 minutes to approximately five minutes. This enables faster setup, lowers operator workload, and helps productions get on air more quickly. Additionally, a more integrated graphics workflow placing Prime within Virtual Placement reduces application handoffs and additional hardware while expanding creative options for animated and data-driven graphics.

In addition to live broadcast workflows, Prime Click Effects, Chyron’s venue display control solution, will also be shown at IBC. Visitors will be able to see recent examples of Click Effects in action during major live sporting events as the single point of control for all of the venue’s LED displays, driving fan engagement and sponsor monetisation.
