Live events specialist Rees Williams joins CJP Broadcast as broadcast engineer

CJP Broadcast has made a new addition to its technical support team with the appointment of Rees Williams as broadcast engineer. He joins the company after four years with event presentation company Universal Live where he was a technical project manager specialising in audiovisual operations.

“Rees is a very welcome addition to our team,” commented CJP Broadcast founder and managing director Chris Phillips. “His experience across the events sector and the wider media business blends very well with our activity in project management and integration, equipment distribution, technical support and video production. He has already performed sterling work in the completion phase of our recent 4K-UHD virtual studio for the University of Sunderland.”

“CJP Broadcast is a forward-thinking company which understands the ways in which media technology can be applied across many areas of modern life, not least the broadcast mainstream,” Williams said. “I am delighted to be working alongside talented and experienced colleagues with an evident commitment to delivering powerful solutions within sensible budgets.”

After graduating from Birmingham City University with a BSc in sound engineering and production, Williams established an audio engineering and stage event consultancy in 2008, providing technical support on increasingly ambitious projects before joining the technical support staff of Miami-based Celebrity Cruises where he supervised the operation and maintenance of shipboard audiovisual entertainment equipment. He progressed in January 2017 to Universal Live, working alongside the sales and accounts departments to create bespoke audiovisual proposals for large bookings and hybrid events as well as managing relevant equipment hire accounts.
