Marquis Broadcast announces distributor for North America
Content workflow and media integration software specialist Marquis Broadcast has signed JB&A to serve as a channel partner acting as a value added distributor for North America. JB&A – which focuses on building and managing channels on behalf of vendors – will sell Marquis’ Project Parking solution, which is aimed at assisting editors and facilities to manage their Avid edit storage more effectively.
“We are a consultant, solutions provider and distributor to our resellers and integrator partners, and we offer unique product bundles and complete solutions,” says Jeff Burgess, CEO, JB&A. “We are pleased now to be able to offer Project Parking ,which is a particularly clever solution enabling editors to analyse all the projects on their edit storage by size, project, location, age, duplicated or orphaned files and then archive files to second tier storage, or delete or move unused media all at the touch of a button, while still maintaining a usable and easily accessible format for future use.
“In addition to supplying Project Parking, this deal will also allow us to develop and define specific workflows for our resellers’ clients by taking advantage of Marquis’ Medway tool kit, Medway is an ‘interoperability engine’ which enables enhanced integration between leading broadcast content applications within file-based workflows and this is an exciting proposition.”
“We are delighted to be working with JB&A who are experts at taking product into the reseller channel,” confirms Peter Davies, managing director, Marquis Broadcast. “By taking advantage of the sophisticated functionality of our solutions, JB&A will be able to design more cost-effective workflows for resellers and we look forward to developing a strong and mutually beneficial partnership over time. JB&A will benefit from leveraging our office in Nashville to ensure we can between us provide great support and high quality solutions.”
