Marquis completes operational review for MBC Group

Marquis Media Partners has successfully completed a six month operational review for MBC Group (Middle East Broadcasting Center), the largest private media company in the Middle East and North Africa. Marquis was appointed to carry out an end-to-end analysis of MBC’s operational models and processes, workflow and technical infrastructure following an RFP and shortlist process held last year.

Sam Barnett, CEO, MBC, explains: “We worked with the Marquis team to define our requirements in order to move to a new headquarters. In doing so, they helped us to look in the corporate mirror and identify areas we could improve for our future model operation. We valued their experience, their insight, their network, their honesty, and their persistence in getting to the right answers. I was also impressed by the attention they gave to building alignment and their success in creating it.”

“MBC is certainly not alone in needing to define a strategy for moving forward in the face of a continually developing market-place,” explains Andrew Ioannou, partner at Marquis Media Partners. “Many businesses need to review how they are organised and operate their content supply chain. However, the fact is that no ‘media industry expert’ can predict the future with 100% certainty; therefore, each organisation needs to address the specific challenges relating to its particular market sector and yet be agile enough to move rapidly in whichever way the market develops.

“Our hands-on experience of large and small transformational programmes across every aspect of media operations combined with our boutique, detailed approach to support the design, deployment and acceptance of change, means we can ensure our clients are in the best possible position to respond to continuously evolving market needs,” continues Ioannou. “Our focus is on long-term planning and we work to analyse and future-proof current operational models. Our experienced industry experts are engaged yet at the same time detached enough to reveal the often cold reality of the situation, and ultimately evaluate how best to take the organisation to the next level with clear and detailed recommendations for success.

“By avoiding an ‘off the shelf’ consultative approach and instead, creating a bespoke framework using eight of our highly experienced industry practitioners working in close conjunction with staff across the organisation, we develop a tailor-made, workable strategy with a focus on clear deliverables to keep costs under control. At the end of the project our recommendations are defined in detail and prioritised enabling the organisation to move forward with confidence that it can create greater levels of efficiency and agility with a clear view of how and why they need to change. In this way we help ensure organisations like MBC are fit for the future.”
