Martinique la 1ère adds Georacing GPS solution to enhance coverage of Tour des Yoles with live 3D views

After two years without races due to the pandemic, Tour des Yoles, organised by the Fédération des Yoles Rondes de la Martinique, has made a much-anticipated return, running from 31 July to 7 August.

After Brasserie Lorraine was crowned champion in the last edition, 14 teams will battle their way to make a significant impact and show their improvements after a long wait. The biggest event of the Island of Martinique will return with stages every day of the week, a village tour and podium entertainment.

To enrich its coverage for those watching on TV and online, Martinique la 1ère opted to enrich its TV coverage of the event by utilising a GPS tracking solution from Georacing.

TV viewers now have the option to follow the event daily with live 3D views designed to improve their understanding of the races while they are broadcast in real-time on TV. Information such as speed, ranking, heading and distances between the boats is highlighted. Moreover, web viewers can also follow interactively their favourite yole in the Georacing 2D player, which is available on the website of Martinique la 1ère and the Georacing mobile app for iOS and Android.
