MediaPro to provide VAR service to Bolivian Football Federation

MediaPro has been awarded the contract to provide VAR services to the professional football league in Bolivia. The Bolivian Football Federation chose MediaPro Group to deliver the service to the Bolivian Professional Football Division, the top-tier football competition in the country, until 2024.

The group will offer VAR at a total of 860 encounters, providing a team of more than 30 broadcast professionals, together with four outside broadcast units. During the first phase of the contract, between the months of May and June, MediaPro, together with a team from the Bolivian Football Federation and FIFA trainers and inspectors, will be responsible for service implementation and training  referees. With the start of the closing tournament, in June, the second phase of the project and implementation of the video assistant referee service, will get underway.

The MediaPro Group is the official VAR technology supplier for several competitions, including top-tier leagues in Portugal, Greece, Mexico, Chile and the United Arab Emirates. It is also responsible for the video assistant referee service at many of the largest continental competitions worldwide both at club level, as well as for national teams and major tournaments including Conmebol, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, Copa America, CAF and Africa Cup of Nations.

Mediapro Bolivia was launched in 2016.  The team produce the Professional Division, the Bolivian Amateur Football Division and the main sporting events that take place in the country, including World Cup qualifiers, Conmebol tournaments and the Basketball League.
