Miranda unveils CCW playout, production plans
Production and playout solutions from Miranda and the Telecast Fiber Systems family of products will be exhibited at Content and Communications World (CCW), which takes place in New York next week from 14-15 November.
Highlighted solutions will include the NVISION 8500 enterprise class hybrid router series, which offers advanced features such as redundant power supplies, control cards and crosspoints in a range of matrix sizes and form factors. The 8500 series features the new NVISION 8140, which provides a 144 x 288 matrix in an 8RU frame suitable for the space constraints of mobile production and smaller studios. Also on hand will be NVISION control panels and a Kaleido-X multiviewer.
The production demo will also include the latest fiber acquisition solutions from Telecast Fiber Systems including the CopperHead 3200 fiber optic camera transceiver and other fiber solutions. The CopperHead mounts to any camcorder to provide a fiber link to a truck or control room, enabling a lightweight and efficient means to transport video, audio, data, intercom and camera control communications using a single easy-to-deploy fiber.
The Miranda iTX Integrated Playout platform will be the primary focus in Miranda’s playout demonstration. The flexible and scalable iTX playout features a wide range of built-in graphics and branding solutions including the iTX Render Service for AdobeAfter Effects, which provides the ability to take graphics projects created entirely in After Effects CS6 and deliver them, fully finished and ready for playout, to Miranda’s iTX automated playout platform or Vertigo Suite graphics automation and asset management tools.
Visitors will also be able to witness the iTX platform fully integrated with Miranda’s iControl Playout Manager. The iControl system will drive a content comparison demo on the stand designed to show CCW attendees how they can achieve the quality playout they require with the affordability and scalability needed.
In addition to the on-booth demonstrations, Miranda will be a featured presenter at CCW’s Tech Talk Theatre. Scott Matics, senior product manager for Miranda’s NVISION routers, will lead a session titled ‘Modernise Routing Systems Without a Complete Overhaul: An Easy Migration Path to Supporting 3GBps/HD Routing’, which will be held on Wednesday, November 14 from 11:30am to noon.
