Danish public broadcaster TV2 has extended its fleet of Aviwest bonded mobile uplink systems, adding PRO180-RA remote transmitter units, MOJOPRO mobile apps and StreamHub transceivers.

The equipment was used in November 2017 to broadcast live HD video over 3G and 4G cellular wireless networks during regional election coverage.

Peter Tonnisen, technical manager at regional station TV2 Lorry, said: “The digital mobile newsgathering equipment was perfectly integrated in our production system and enabled us to reliably transmit results to viewers in real time, making the election coverage a success.”

During the elections, journalists transmitted live videos over bonded 3G/4G and Wi-Fi connections using the PRO field units and the MOJOPRO smartphone app.
