MPTS 2025: New LPX500 among products on show from Leader

Leader Electronics is set to bring a selection of its products for IP, SDI and hybrid workflow requirements to this year’s Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS). The company will be demonstrating its complete range of True Hybrid IP and SDI test and measurement products, including the new LPX500 four simultaneous-input waveform monitor with 100G-IP and 12G-SDI toolsets, the Zen Series LV5600W/LV7600W and LT4670 SPG, along with a range of waveform, rasteriser and handheld instruments for customers needing to replace aging test and measurement products.

The LPX500 is a quad 12G-SDI and dual 100GE-IP input waveform monitor. Incorporating technology from both the Leader and Phabrix test & measurement (T&M) brands, the LPX500’s feature includes the simultaneous display of four 4K inputs, 4K and 2K inputs, HDR and SDR inputs, or SDI and IP inputs; dual 10GE, 25GE and 100GE inputs; optional extended 8in touchscreen; multiple screen layouts; advanced SDI physical layer analysis (eye and jitter) option; support for SD/HD/3G/6G/12G-SDI, 10G/25G/100G IP interfaces with SD/HD/UHD, SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE ST 2110-10/20/30/31/40 with ST 2022-7, and AMWA NMOS; and a host of optional software licendes, including for UHD/4K support, HDR, 25G IP, 100G IP, EUHD (47.95-60p RGB YCbCr 444 formats) and SDI/IP AV test signal generation. The LPX500 also offers an optional enhanced RGB vector with diamond display providing familiar camera shading tools to monitor gamut violations in production environments.

Leader will also showcase its ability to provide sync pulse generation (SPG) capabilities to both traditional SDI broadcast facilities and the next generation of hybrid SDI/IP facilities. The LT4760 is a 1U full rack synchronous signal generator that is compatible with Black Burst/Tri-level sync, Digital Audio and PTP signals for both SDI and IP systems. The LT4670 offers synchronisation with GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS) and supports ‘Stay-in-Sync’ and ‘Slow-Sync’ if GPS reference is lost. It outputs PTP, 4K/HD IP, 4K 12G, 3G/HD/SD SDI, analogue synchronous signals, AES/EBU, audio word clock and LTC synchronised to analogue video sync signals.

Elsewhere on the Leader stand, the company will highlight the most recent updates to its Zen-W Series. Providing fully true-hybrid tools supporting simultaneous SDI and IP signals, the Zen-W Series is also WebRTC-enabled for easy remote operation. Comprising the LV5600W waveform monitor and LV7600W rasteriser, the range’s latest updates include a 3D-LUT import function for HDR-to-SDR and SDR-to-HDR conversion.

Further underlining its ability to support the full spectrum of workflow requirements, Leader will also be showing the Phabrix Sx ag portable hybrid IP/SDI and analogue generation, analysis and video/audio monitoring device, and the QxL rasteriser and QxP waveform monitor – fully 10G/25G IP-enabled as standard.

NDI Checker signal monitoring software for live NDI signal troubleshooting and monitoring will also be on show. NDI Checker has been developed for use by engineers, technical directors and production staff working in environments ranging from small studios to live multi-venue broadcast operations. Allowing users to maintain complete visibility across their entire NDI networks, NDI Checker’s visualisation tools and diagnostic capabilities enable the detection of issues before they become problems, as well as the maintenance of optimal signal quality and flawless production delivery.

Hiroshi Kajita, CEO of Leader Electronics of Europe, commented: “We are really looking forward to exhibiting again at MPTS, which always provides a focal point for the dynamic UK market that has been proven to be one of the most enthusiastic adopters of new IP and hybrid workflows. With waveform monitors, rasterisers, sync pulse generators and handheld devices supportive of SDI, IP, and SDI/IP environments, Leader can offer tools for every configuration and requirement. We invite MPTS visitors to come by our stand to see how we can transform your T&M capabilities.”
