NAB 2019: Adder To Debut 4K IP KVM Matrix
Adder Technology (Booth SL8620) will debut its dual-head high performance, 4K IP KVM matrix over a single fiber at NAB 2019.
It is predicted that the global 4K display market will be worth $52bn by 2020 (up by 188% vs 2015) and by the end of 2019, half of US homes will own a 4K TV. As the adoption of 4K technology continues to rise, so does the need for 4K content which in turn places unprecedented demand on broadcasters and media production houses.
The launch of the ADDERLink INFINITY 4000 Series (ALIF4000) is perfectly timed to support IP KVM users as they transition their broadcast and production environments to 4K.
“The launch of the ALIF4000 series gives us the opportunity to take control and add 4K functionality to our existing infrastructure, as and when we need it, without having to rip and replace; meaning we can continue to meet our customers’ growing need for 4K output,” says John Stevens, director of engineering at Los Angeles-based post-production house The Foundation.
“We are really excited to bring the new ADDERLink INFINITY 4000 series to North America and NAB is the ideal event to showcase its capabilities,” adds Tim Conway, VP Americas, Adder. “The introduction of the ALIF4000 into the INFINITY range means our customers can continue to reap the rewards of their existing network but now with the addition of 4K video support.”
The ALIF4000 delivers pixel-perfect, color accurate video quality, audio, and USB to single or dual 4K screens – benefitting broadcasters, post-production professionals or VFX specialists looking to improve their workflow and increase flexibility by making 4K content accessible from a single position or location.
Full compatibility with the existing INFINITY range means the ALIF4000 can be phased into an existing network without disruption, downtime or the costly need to rip and replace – giving media and broadcast professionals the access to 4K IP KVM when and where they need it most.
Joining the ALIF4000 at NAB 2019 will be the latest addition to the ADDERLink ipeps range of remote access solutions. The ADDERLink ipeps+, launched in January 2019, gives broadcasters the ability to securely manage out-of-band servers and remotely access HD video, in real-time, from anywhere in the world at up to 30 frames per second (fps).
