NAB 2023: Appear to showcase acceleration in contribution and distribution solutions

Appear is set to demonstrate how it provides the backbone that production companies, telcos, and broadcasters worldwide utilise to make immersive live experiences possible for viewers.

Visitors of the company’s can expect a sports-bar style experience, with demonstrations exhibiting its range of energy-efficient contribution, OTT and distribution solutions. Appear experts will be on-hand to showcase how the company’s solutions minimise the rack space, power and operational complexity required to bring high-quality live experiences to viewers.

Appear will also be providing free consultations to media organisations looking to assess their cloud strategy, helping them prioritise total cost of ownership for on-premises, cloud-based and hybrid solution deployments. This consultation support is further bolstered by the opening of a new Appear office in Los Angeles ahead of the show in March 2023, cementing the company’s strategic focus and commercial growth in the North American market.

Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen, CEO at Appear, said: “NAB Show is a fantastic opportunity for us to engage with our customers and partners, and we can’t wait to be back at the LVCC updating the industry on our latest news and announcements. In the past year, we’ve made several exciting developments in our contribution, OTT, and linear distribution portfolio, all of which make delivering video more efficient, sustainable and faster. An on-booth highlight will be the NAB Show launch of revolutionary new solutions that enable operators to align video transport cost with content value. As a customer-centric vendor, we can’t wait to welcome visitors to our booth once again and re-connect with the industry in-person.”

Products on show will include X Platform, a high-speed video networking, enhanced IP security and advanced compression solution for the remote production, contribution and distribution markets; NEO, a high-capacity, energy-efficient, server-based compression solution for live distribution; and XC Platform, a modular head-end platform for IPTV and broadcast.
