NAB 2023: Arkona to showcase latest Blade//runner software along with world-first cloud solution

Arkona will show the latest Blade//runner software at NAB 2023 along with a world-first live production cloud solution.

“We expect NAB 2023 to be a breakthrough show,” said Erling Hedkvist, sales & business development for arkona. “It is the first time we’ll be exhibiting in North America since we launched arkona publicly and we will be starting off with a bang. We can’t reveal any details yet, but anyone who is interested in the benefits of cloud and high-end broadcast productions should stop by! Of course, we’ll also be showing our latest Blade//runner release which was just tapped for a major installation in Australia.”

Designed for the modern broadcast facility where agility and scalability are essential, the Blade//runner suite provides a flexible and modular core infrastructure for Tier 1 live broadcast productions. It provides a wide variety of tools for professional productions, including audio/video routing, compression, processing and visualisation, with open standards support and an API-first approach. This allows for a high degree of flexibility centred around user-specific workflows. Blade//runner is also controllable through NMOS IS-04/-05.

At NAB, arkona will be highlighting its newest version, Blade//runner 2.2, which includes the new JXS application that extends the capability of the AT300, arkona’s latest generation programmable acceleration card with JPEG-XS. The JXS app is a great feature expansion of the Blade//runner ecosystem for customers with a need for low-latency, high-quality compression. In addition to JPEG-XS, the new JXS app is also capable of handling ST2110-20/30/40 and 2022-6 uncompressed routing and processing.
