NAB 2023: Broadpeak to highlight future-proof video streaming solutions

At the 2023 NAB Show, Broadpeak will showcase software and services for video delivery and streaming.

“The NAB Show is an excellent opportunity for us to show how Broadpeak is leading the charge for better streaming quality, improved energy efficiency, and increased monetisation,” said Jacques Le Mancq, CEO at Broadpeak. “Video delivery is evolving, and the need for sustainable solutions is critical. With our CDN technologies, video service providers and broadcasters can adapt to the transformations happening in the video industry.”

For the first-time, Broadpeak will demonstrate the newest version of its context-aware Advanced CDN with new features bringing high performance, energy-efficiency and enabling a compelling QoE. Additionally, Broadpeak will showcase new analytics features, including trending and anomaly detection, to optimise capacity planning, troubleshooting, and video consumption analysis.

The company will also highlight its new BkS450 high-performance video streaming software, which is said to bring cost savings and energy efficiency to video streaming infrastructure, enabling the delivery of video services at 725Gbps in HTTP on servers consuming 900W of power.

Attendees can also discover how nanoCDN improves QoE, especially at peaks. Real-world deployments by leading operators will be shown for low latency, monetisation, targeted ad delivery and other use cases.

Broadpeak will showcase its BkS350 origin packager that enables video delivery to any player or device for live and on-demand applications. The BkS350 combines a just-in-time packaging feature and a built-in cache mechanism to deliver the highest throughput, while reducing storage space, protecting ABR video content and enabling control over video quality.

The BkS350 is able to deliver content to any off-net or on-net CDN, and is deployable on-prem, in the cloud, or in hybrid mode.

Finally, demos of broadpeak.io software-as-a-service will focus on dynamic ad insertion, live channel creation, content replacement and personalised virtual channels for FAST use cases. Broadpeak and technology partners will also demo a native IP over satellite ecosystem. Using the SKYflow solution operators can deliver a massive number of OTT streams anywhere, even to remote areas, with no compromise on quality. SKYflow integrates technologies from Broadpeak, EasyBroadcast, EKT and ST Engineering.
