NAB 2023: Innovation, evolutionary migration strategies and industry partnerships on the agenda for Imagine

From its new location in the West Hall, Imagine Communications will be demonstrating its latest technology innovations, business-driving thought leadership and strong industry partnerships at NAB 2023.

“As the industry faces an uncertain economy coupled with multiple, simultaneous technology transitions, there has never been a better time to partner with Imagine,” said Steve Reynolds, president of Imagine Communications. “Our products and services enable customers to achieve their current business goals — whether they need to cut costs or increase revenue — and move from where they are today into a future that leverages existing investment rather than starting over in order to change and thrive.

“At NAB, our key focus will be on engaging with customers to explore solutions and strategies that enable them to personalise the path and pace of their transitions to more responsive, flexible architectures and business models.”

NAB attendees looking for modern video processing and routing systems that can efficiently span from SDI to IP, HD to UHD, SDR to HDR or on-prem to cloud, will be able to enjoy hands-on demonstrations of the Selenio Network Processor (SNP), including the HDR-capable SNP production multiviewer personality. The latest SNP release features JPEG XS support, enabling high-quality, low-latency connectivity for remote production workflows and ground-to-cloud links. The 1RU SNP pairs with Imagine’s Magellan control system in a combination that can support customers navigating any technology transition — including providing an on-ramp to the cloud.

For those headed to NAB to explore the latest playout innovations, Imagine offers channel origination technology to meet every business requirement from on-prem solutions that support premium, ‘high-touch’ channels to cloud-native technology ideally suited to disaster recovery, spin-up of emerging services such as pop-up or FAST channels, and 24/7 operations. Live demonstrations will be available of Imagine Aviato — the first truly cloud-native platform that enables media companies to plan, make and monetise premium-quality, ad-supported linear and connected TV (CTV) content from a single, unified solution — on the Imagine booth, in the AWS Partner Village (W2051L AWS), and as part of an end-to-end workflow on the AWS booth (W1701).

Imagine will also be showcasing its portfolio of monetisation tools that enable media companies to extract maximum revenue potential from their media assets, accelerate the growth of cross-screen trading and migrate in an evolutionary fashion from spot-based to dynamic trading. Must-see demonstrations at NAB include GamePlan, Imagine’s  dynamic ad placement engine and yield optimiser for linear TV; and  the recently launched SureFire video ad server, which provides linear-like control and brand protection on ad-based CTV and AVOD streaming services, enabling media companies to sell and fulfill campaigns across their entire audience and deliver a consistent, quality experience for both viewers and advertisers.

Co-operation and collaboration are going to be the watchwords for 2023, and Imagine is a company that embraces partnership,” added Reynolds. “We build open, standards-based systems and work with the right partners around the industry to enable best-of-breed systems that benefit our customers, who are making important decisions about where their business is heading over the next few years.”
