Fujifilm Corporation will be unveiling the Fujinon LA30x7.8BRM-XB2 broadcast zoom lens at NAB 2025. It is said to deliver the highest-in-class 30x zoom covering 7.8-234mm with a compact and lightweight design.
LA30x7.8 is a portable-type zoom lens for 2/3in sensor broadcast cameras, covering the focal range from 7.8mm wide to 234mm telephoto with a compact and lightweight design measuring 190mm and weighing 1.8kg. By adopting a newly developed drive unit, it supports virtual and remote production.
In recent years, the rapid growth of video streaming platforms has led to a significant increase in the production of video content, including news, documentaries, sports, and music concerts. As a result, there is a rising demand for equipment that can streamline filming operations while maintaining high image quality and functionality, all within limited production budgets. In response to this demand, Fujifilm introduced the Fujinon LA16x8BRM-XB1A 4K broadcast zoom lens in 2019.
The lightweight design of the LA30x7.8 produces high mobility and versatility for production. Also, the newly developed drive unit features high resolution 16-bit encoders for accurate position detection in virtual and remote production, which further contributes to streamlining production operations.
