ScheduALL has once again been selected to provide transmission and resource management to NBC Olympics, a division of the NBC Sports Group, during its production of the Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

scheduall-logoNBC Olympics turned to ScheduALL’s advanced resource management solutions to coordinate the highly dynamic environment of the Games. This will be the seventh straight Olympics for which NBCU has leveraged the expertise of ScheduALL’s software and services group to orchestrate the logistics of people, equipment, locations and transmission feeds.

“We are privileged to contribute to the success of the NBC Olympics broadcast for the seventh consecutive time,” said Stefan Nied, Vice President, Worldwide Operations, ScheduALL. “We approach each Games with broad industry knowledge and expertise, combined with intimate understanding of the needs for NBC Olympics during the Games. This empowers NBC Olympics to execute complex transmissions flawlessly.”

Prior to its first ScheduALL implementation for the Athens Olympic Games in 2004, NBC Olympics relied on a manual process for managing and scheduling feeds. ScheduALL manages critical information such as video router assignments and satellite uplink scheduling, and automatically passes the information to downstream systems to facilitate on-air coverage for each feed.

“We are pleased to be working once again with ScheduALL because they are the clear-cut industry standard and continue to play a vital role in our ability to provide thousands of hours of coverage,” said Craig Lau, Vice President, Information Technology, NBC Olympics. ”We know their technology will help us to improve our viewers experience during the broadcast of the Games across the NBCUniversal networks.”

CABSAT 2014: ScheduALL to Showcase Enterprise-Wide Connectivity
ScheduALL will demonstrate its advanced enterprise-wide connectivity at CABSAT 2014 in Dubai. ScheduALL’s smart technology is giving the media industry’s largest businesses the visibility and control they need to intelligently employ resource inventories in the most profitable way.

At the annual CABSAT exhibition, which brings together key players from the MENA region’s media and transmission sectors, ScheduALL will showcase its connectivity solution that supports broadcasters, service providers and teleport operators across the region. ScheduALL Connector™ delivers greater visibility into resource utilization within the corporate network and allows the user to allocate the right resource to the right project for the right margin.

“To better serve the industry, media enterprises need to have effective communication between their internal business units to maximize resource use. This can be accomplished through connectivity, visibility and cross-department or divisional sharing,” said Rick Legow, president at ScheduALL. “ScheduALL Connector™ empowers each business unit to work independently, or enjoy the ‘opt in’ benefits of an entire enterprise network.”

The advanced connectivity solution enables operators to eliminate tedious emails, follow-up phone calls and spreadsheets, because their business systems can now directly collaborate across the enterprise for faster project management and a streamlined workflow.
