Net Insight and Skyline Communications join forces to simplify live media services management
Net Insight, a provider of media transport solutions, and Skyline Communications, which offers end-to-end multi-vendor network management, have agreed a strategic partnership to launch an integrated solution designed to streamline live video workflows across various networks.
The collaboration aims to provide broadcasters, service providers, production companies and enterprises with an integrated solution that simplifies the planning and scheduling of work orders, automates link provisioning and secures media transport across both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. This solution is said to help businesses to optimise their operations, reduce costs and improve service delivery, which in turn can lead to increased profitability and growth opportunities.

Key features of the new solution include seamless planning of work orders and monitoring and control of Net Insight’s media networks, including managed (Nimbra Series) and public cloud networks (Nimbra Edge), through DataMiner; the ability to share live data with anyone, anywhere, with just a few clicks, improving collaboration and decision-making; and efficiently allocate resources, such as equipment and personnel, while managing capacity to optimise live media service delivery. The solution can also be integrated with existing scheduling systems using APIs.
