New sales, marketing head for ATG Broadcast
UK-based television and media systems integrator ATG Broadcast has confirmed the appointment of Tim Felstead as head of sales and marketing. He joins from Harris Broadcast Communications where he was active in global product marketing for the division’s Workflow Infrastructure and Networking group.
Christoffer Kay, MD of ATG Broadcast, comments: “We are very pleased to welcome Tim into the management team. He brings over a quarter-century’s experience of the broadcast business and is a highly regarded throughout the industry for his understanding of the market and the technology which drives it. His knowledge base includes television production, graphics, automation, asset-management and transmission/delivery systems.
For his part, Felstead remarks: “Systems integration is becoming an increasingly vital service in today’s IT-centric market with the expanding use of software-based technology running on enterprise-class computer platforms. ATG Broadcast spearheaded the transition from baseband analogue and digital into file-based production, content management and playout back in the 1990s. My role will be to develop this core aspect of its operation and to expand the product sales activity which the company has established in the UK and Middle East.”
Prior to his role with Harris Broadcast, Felstead occupied positions with Abekas Video Systems, Philips/Bosch Broadcast Televisions Systems UK, Thomson Broadcast and Thomson Grass Valley.
