New sports channel launching for Boxer and Com Hem customers

Sweden’s new channel for sports fans – Sportkanalen – will be available to Boxer and Com Hem customers from 1 February 2018. Sportkanalen is a new TV channel that broadcasts the best live matches and selected highlights from the Premier Division of the Swedish Football League and Swedish Hockey League, and other live matches from, for example, the Swedish Handball League and Swedish Super League.

Matches from NBA Basketball, and events from the PGA Tour with many Swedish golfers, will also be shown every weekend. Summaries, highlights, interview programmes and documentaries will be shown between the live matches.

“C More has the best local sports broadcasting rights in the market with the top teams in the major team sports, and Sportkanalen is an exciting set-up to make these rights available to an even wider public. This is something that I am sure our customers will appreciate,” says Simon Gate, Director of Content for Com Hem Group.

“Sportkanalen will make it easy to be a sport consumer, whether you are looking for the best live sports, award-winning documentaries, interview programmes or simply the latest news from the world of sport. This type of dedicated sports channel with the latest sports content has not been available in the market before, and we are now very happy to be making this offer to Boxer and Com Hem customers,” says Johan Cederqvist, Sports Programme Director at TV4 and C More.

Sportkanalen will replace TV4 Sports and be available to Com Hem customers in the Silver, Silver+ and Guld packages in both the box and in Com Hem Play.

For Boxer customers, Sportkanalen will be available in the TV Flex8, TV Flex16, TV Mix and TV Max packages in the digital box, and in Boxer Play.
