Panasonic lights up Trafalgar Square

The ‘One Year to Go’ to the London 2012 Olympic Games celebrations commenced today with live images from the Olympic Park being displayed in London’s famous Trafalgar Square on two 33.6sqm ultra bright LED displays supplied and installed by Worldwide Olympic Partner, Panasonic.

The full colour screens are installed on either side of a huge stage where footage from the newly-opened Aquatics Centre will be shown.

Director of Panasonic UK’s London 2012 Olympic Programme, Ralph Higson, commented: “This is a really exciting time in the build up to the London 2012 Olympic Games and allows Panasonic to demonstrate its incredible large screen technology whilst sharing the passion of the Olympic Games with Londoners and visitors to the Square to celebrate this historic event.’’
