Pivothead showed off its new Pivothead SMART (Simple Modular Application-Ready Technology), the next generation of Pivothead eyewear focused on broadcast, sports, and entertainment industries.

Like Pivothead’s first generation eyewear, Pivothead SMART provides full 1080p high definition (HD) video and 8 megapixel still imaging capabilities with enhanced camera capabilities, touch control and a modular design that enables adaptive functionality. Pivothead SMART modular accessories – Smart Mods – house WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Android operating system and enable HD Wireless live streaming.

Pivothead SMART’s expandable memory and battery life allow sports teams, entertainment organizations, broadcasters and enterprise users to create and distribute true point-of-view content like never before. Pivothead’s second screen sharing solution enhances in-stadium fan engagement for teams and leagues during live events. ESPN recently captured Wichita State men’s basketball team from the point of view of players and fans as they finished their final regular season game undefeated.
