PlazaMedia to produce IronMan events

Germany: Promoter WTC Europe has commissioned PlazaMedia to undertake the technical production of IronMan Regensburg on August 7, followed on August 14 by the Sparkassen Finanzgruppe IronMan 70.3 European Championship Wiesbaden.

The production company will create a 30-minute round-up of each of the two events for SPORT1, a 25-30-minute DVD for commercial sale, and news content which will be made available to TV broadcasters around the world.

A total of 20 PlazaMedia crew members will be involved in the elaborate productions in Regensburg and Wiesbaden. To appropriately capture the roughly 2,700 athletes from over 50 nations in the three disciplines, the cameras for the swim portion (3.86 km) will be positioned on boats, while for the 180km cycle race and the 42,195km run the athletes will be filmed from motorbikes.
