Reuters Imagen named official supplier of Esports World Cup’s global media hub

Reuters Imagen has been named the official supplier of the Esports World Cup’s (EWC) Media Lobby, the centralised platform hosting and distributing all live and archived content to media partners, rights holders and publishers worldwide.

Reuters Imagen will provide the digital backbone of EWC’s global media operations to deliver instant, secure and searchable access to high-quality media assets in real-time, regardless of location. From match footage and highlight reels to player interviews and behind-the-scenes content, the platform enables stakeholders to tell richer stories, engage audiences faster and maximise the value of premium esports content.

The EWC Media Lobby now hosts 10,874 records, including 4,911 hours of video content, with over 2,000 hours ingested live during the event.

“The Esports World Cup commands a truly global audience, and media stakeholders need rapid, reliable access to the best possible content,” said David Wilkinson, head of Reuters Imagen. “By powering the EWC Media Lobby, Reuters Imagen ensures that the world’s leading publishers and rights holders can discover, retrieve and deliver compelling material at speed and at scale.”

The Esports World Cup remains the largest international esports tournament globally, bringing together elite teams and players competing for record-breaking prize pools and worldwide recognition. With Reuters Imagen at the core of its media operations, the EWC is equipped to meet surging demand for timely, high-production-value content across broadcast, digital and social channels.

Over 600 global users from 157 organisations accessed content via the Media Lobby. During the event period, users – including rights holders, teams, publishers and media partners – performed over 13,000 download activities.
