RR Media is Media Service Partner for Laureas Awards

RR Media has been named as the official Media Services Partner for the Laureus World Sports Awards show in Shanghai on April 152015. RR Media will provide complete on-site and post-event content preparation, asset management, together with satellite and digital distribution services, helping to realise the broadcast potential of Laureus. The live feed will be aired in over 100 countries around the world.

RR Media, continues to support the Laureus World Sports Awards following several years of close partnership. This year RR Media will have a team on-site to manage content distribution and engage with broadcasters in creating and delivering the media assets for both the primary awards show itself and the associated supporting events. RR Media will deliver over 20 live feeds of the show across Europe, Asia and the Americas, as well as providing unilateral feeds for broadcasters during the supporting events.

For ‘near live’ distribution RR Media will utilise its dedicated online asset management and digital delivery facility, Media Window, to create and distribute clips and video news release package within minutes of creation. This is a first for RR Media and the Laureus World Sports awards where both live and near live content will be serviced on site offering speed to market for both satellite and fibre broadcasters as well as the digital news community.
