RT Software includes women players in Tactic v7.0
RT Software has added women players into the latest version of its sports telestration package, Tactic. This addition for v7.0 has been done ahead of the start of FIFA Women’s World Cup which kicks off in Australia and New Zealand on 20 July.
Mike Fredriksen, RT Software commercial director, said: ”This announcement shows our continuing commitment to our broadcast customers around the world and ensures they can do justice to the Women’s World Cup in their post-match analysis shows. Here at RT Software we fully support diversity in all its forms and it’s a great honour to be able to play our small part in enhancing the representation of women in sports and broadcast.”
Any existing Tactic customers are entitled to a free upgrade. Broadcasters will find both male and female players within the virtual stadium part of the product. This allows the camera view to zoom out to a virtual perspective as seen from any of the players on the pitch, or to an overview of the entire stadium.
All players’ strips, colours, skin tones, hair and boots are all definable to ensure players are represented as accurately as possible.
Fredriksen added: “We wish all the women’s teams the best of luck. It should be a great tournament.”
