RT Software launches Tacticians user group for sports analysis operators

Sports graphics specialist RT Software has launched Tacticians, a user group for freelancers and users of the AI-powered Tactic range of broadcast sports analysis graphics systems.

Although aimed primarily at Tactic users, anyone who has an interest in broadcast sports analysis can become a Tactician by following the dedicated LinkedIn showcase page. As well as the opportunity to show work and swap ideas with other users, members will have access to free training material and licences, user tips, a rewards programme and the opportunity to feed back product ideas.

RT Software believes that this will help users to keep abreast of the rapid rate of evolution in sports analysis graphics and its products specifically. “We are building an increasing amount of AI into Tactic for areas such as player tracking along with set up tasks like camera and pitch calibration. Consequently, sophisticated analysis sequences can now be built quickly and easily. It is crucial everyone is kept informed of these developments,” said Luke Harrison, technical product marketing manager at RT Software.

“RT Software has transitioned to predominantly video-based training materials, this gives us the chance to make sure it gets to the right people,” he continued. “What’s more, it provides a platform to hear from our users and reward their support.”
