Secret Golf goes OTT with Recast

Golf fans around the world can now watch content from the access-all-areas golf entertainment platform Secret Golf on Recast.

As well as tutorials and behind-the-scenes content, fans will be able to access insights, interviews and exclusive content from more than 30 PGA and LPGA golfers and coaches, including Pat Perez, Jason Dufner, Stacy Lewis and Former PGA Tour Champion and Secret Golf founder and chairman Steve Elkington.

Elkington said: “We’re so excited to be part of Recast and to be able to show new and existing audiences unique, access-all- areas golf content from some of the biggest names in the business. Recast is great because we get to fill our Secret Golf channel with raw, behind the scenes content – with access to players on the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour – while monetising the content effectively. If we monetise our content it means we have lots more resources to put back into making more content for our fans!”

Commenting on the news, Recast founder and CEO Andy Meikle said: “Bringing Secret Golf and Recast together is a very exciting opportunity. With the access they have to the golfers they work with they’re able to produce top quality content. Secret Golf will be able to better monetise their content and in-turn produce further quality entertainment for viewers, ultimately bringing the sport of golf to life.”

With the platform, golf fans will be able to turn their viewership into Recast’s in-app credits by signing up, watching adverts, sharing videos and inviting friends. The in-app credits can then be used to watch their favourite match highlights, behind-the-scenes videos and interviews at a subsidised rate or even free of charge.

Recast is already working with several high-profile rightsholders and bodies – including golf’s European Tour, Manchester City FC, Table Tennis England and most recently the European Cricket Network and Queens Park Rangers FC.
