Signiant introduces Media Shuttle Mobile App

Signiant has announced the availability of the Media Shuttle Mobile App, which allows users to submit files via Signiant’s Media Shuttle hybrid SaaS file transfer solution from a mobile device. With the Mobile App, available for iPhone and iPad, it’s now easier for users in the field to securely and reliably send any size file, from anywhere, fast.

“In today’s increasingly mobile business landscape, employees working remotely or in the field need the ability to quickly and easily send critical assets back to home base,” said Rick Clarkson, VP of Product Management, Signiant. “We developed the Media Shuttle Mobile App to meet our customers’ demands for field access to the product they rely on to move high-value content.”

Media Shuttle gives news organisations the ability to create dedicated, branded news gathering portals that can be integrated into newsroom workflows. With the Mobile App, it’s now easy for reporters to upload video content directly from their mobile device into a Media Shuttle portal – from anywhere in the world over a wireless network. It also enables the citizen journalism initiatives that are emerging in many major news organisations to source unique content and increase consumer engagement. Members of the public can download the App for free and easily submit breaking news to a portal belonging to a network or publication.

The Media Shuttle Mobile App is available for download via the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad, with additional platforms planned for the future.
