Sky Sports and ITV secure Champions League till 2015

UK: UEFA has announced the renewal of media rights agreements for the UEFA Champions League 2012-15 in the United Kingdom, with the coverage being jointly awarded to ITV and Sky Sports.

Free-to-air commercial broadcaster ITV has secured exclusive rights to 16 UEFA Champions League first-choice live matches on Tuesday and highlights on the same night. It has also acquired the rights for the Saturday final and the UEFA Super Cup, which will be broadcast simultaneously by Sky Sports. ITV will continue to show the UEFA Champions League matches and highlights on ITV1, as well as via their mobile platform and on itv.com.

Sky Sports has acquired the live rights to broadcast all matches on a Wednesday and all matches on a Tuesday, except for the first-pick match. In addition, Sky Sports has obtained the rights for delayed matches and comprehensive highlights on both nights. Sky Sports will also offer live streaming to PC and laptop via Sky Player and over mobile devices through Sky Mobile TV.
