Skyline DataMiner optimises IPTV and OTT service quality monitoring for Bouygues Telecom

Bouygues Telecom has selected Skyline Communications’ DataMiner to enhance operational efficiency and optimise service quality of its IPTV/OTT offerings.

With DataMiner in place, Bouygues Telecom will benefit from streamlined monitoring and incremental availability of its IPTV/OTT video services, which the company offers alongside its broadband and voice offerings across fibre and 4G/5G mobile networks.

At the heart of the collaboration lies Skyline’s provision of east-west visualisation for every channel service, enabling the comprehensive presentation of data related to service acquisition, coding, packaging, and status for both IPTV and OTT playouts. This empowers Bouygues Telecom to swiftly detect and localise any issues, ensuring an optimal playout and customer experience.

The operator will benefit from customised service templates tailored to different service instances and classes. These templates accommodate variations in processing stages and workflows while also facilitating rapid familiarisation for the different teams.

DataMiner’s automation capabilities further enhance Bouygues Telecom’s operational efficiency by accommodating changes in service playout. This results in streamlined monitoring and visualisation of the entire playout process, encompassing all service types and categories.

Leveraging AI technology, the platform enables autonomous anomaly detection and relationship learning, empowering Bouygues Telecom to proactively identify and address issues before they disrupt service delivery.

Isabel Morant, TV platform operations manager at Bouygues Telecom, remarked: “We are committed to evolving our operations to deliver incremental value for our customers and shareholders. Skyline’s DataMiner provides us with a consolidated view and actionable insights, accelerating incident detection and resolution, and ultimately improving service uptime.”

Expressing pride in its partnership with Bouygues Telecom, Skyline Communications emphasised the expectation that the platform will not only optimise the quality and availability of service for the end customer, but also significantly reduce the workload and stress for NOC/SOC teams.

“With DataMiner, Bouygues Telecom joins a growing community of service providers harnessing our capabilities to revolutionise their operations,” stated Dominique De Paepe, market director service provider at Skyline Communications. “We look forward to supporting Bouygues Telecom as they continue to drive operational excellence and innovation.”
