Sport1 acquires rights to FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021

German sports platform Sport1 has acquired the platform-neutral rights to the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2021 exclusively in Germany and non-exclusively in Austria and Switzerland.

The semi-finals and final of the tournament, which takes place from 3-12 February in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will be broadcast live and exclusively on German free-TV by Sport1. Reigning Conmebol Libertadores champions SE Palmeiras will be in action on Tuesday 8 February at 17:25, followed by Chelsea FC on 9 February. The Brazilian club will face either Mexican Concacaf Champions League winners CF Monterrey or Egyptian CAF Champions League winners al-Ahly SC. Chelsea will be up against either AFC Champions League winners al-Hilal SFC from Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi’s al-Jazira Club or OFC Nations Cup representative AS Pirae from Tahiti.

All five remaining matches of the competition can also be viewed live on the new Sport1Extra streaming platform. In addition, highlight videos will be available on Sport1’s digital platforms.
