NVMe (non-volatile memory express) has become a major trend in the asset management and storage side of the media business and its a hard buzz word to avoid at a trade show like NAB Show. One of the market leaders, Quantum, is making a big storage splash this year in Vegas by introducing the F-Series, a line of NVMe storage arrays that are up to five times faster than traditional flash-storage/networking systems.
Our Jason Dachman caught up with Macky Beheshti, Chief Technology Officer, Media for Quantum to discuss NVMe storage and what the future of the technology could look like.
