Synamedia appoints Bijal Patel as CFO

Synamedia has appointed Bijal Patel, who joins the company form the hospitality sector, as chief financial officer. Over the last 20 years Patel has held a variety of senior finance roles in international technology businesses; since 2010 he has focused his expertise on successfully transforming private equity-backed firms.

Patel joins Synamedia from hospitality technology innovator HotSchedules, where he served as CFO for three years. Prior to this, he was CFO at Aptean and before that he was vice president of finance at Finastra, and subsequently interim CFO. Patel spent the early part of his career at IBM.
