Tedial and SM Data take aim at entry-level MAM

Tedial and SM Data have forged a partnership and released StoreData MAM, an entry-level media asset management system, aimed at small- to medium-sized broadcasters.

José Mesas, Tedial CEO, says: “This technical collaboration with SM Data allows us to reach other sectors in the broadcast market. It enables smaller broadcasters to count on the most advanced technology, adapted to their specific requirements at a very competitive price. This solution provides a reliable and secure investment allowing maximum compatibility with third- party systems. As is tradition with Tedial products, this joint solution is flexible, adaptable, and customisable. It optimises available resources and provides unlimited scalability.”

StoreData MAM uses Tedial’s content management software Tarsys and StoreData’s hardware, which is specially built and configured for SM Data’s storage solutions. The system has a number of standout features including a watch folder for incoming material and content recovery, low-res transcoding for checking and a powerful integrated database. The simplicity of the system means that the user does not need to be trained in the management of digital content archives. The result is a powerful MAM solution with a competitive price for small to medium sized facilities.

Jordi Sabiol, SM Data CEO explains: “SM Data and Tedial have worked together over the years across a number of implementation projects for national and international broadcasters so we have a good understanding of each other’s product portfolio and background. This new solution has given us the opportunity to develop a MAM solution for the first time truly targeted at smaller broadcasters providing the first step into a digital workflow and significantly simplifying procedures.”
