Tommex Zebrowscy installs Community audio at Złotnicza Sports Park

Złotnicza Sports Park is the most modern stadium in the city of Jelenia Góra in Lower Silesia, south-western Poland.  In addition to the floodlit football pitch, the stadium has an athletics track and is Class 4A PZLA certified for European championships. The stadium has a total seating capacity of over 3,600, with a main grandstand accommodating 1,558 people.

Jarosław Kraszewski of Tommex, the designer and project manager for the venue’s new sound system, explains: “The sound system was required to cover the grandstand, ground seating and competition zones and for such large areas we naturally choose Community R-Series. Their all-weather durability, outstanding intelligibility and high efficiency combined with the wide range of coverage angles available means we can effectively implement them on any project of this type.”

Fourteen Community R.5HPTs on three line feeds are used for the main grandstand, while only two Community R2-52s on a fourth line cover the pitch and ground stands. The Community loudspeakers are powered by a Dynacord DSA 8410 4-channel amplifier. A Community dSPEC226AN handles signal processing and FIR filtering, with FIR filters matched to each loudspeaker so that frequency response characteristics are aligned and the sound quality optimised.

The commentary box, located in the centre of the grandstand, houses a Dynacord CMS 600-3 mixer with a Sennheiser E825-S microphone, Sennheiser PRO HD380 headphones and two Denon DN-C110P CD/MP3 players. Tommex also installed a distributed ceiling loudspeaker system for the indoor areas of the grandstand.

“The Community loudspeakers will provide Złotnicza Sports Park with long term reliability. With excellent coverage and intelligibility in all areas the system meets the needs of the stadium’s management and visitors alike,” concludes Kraszewski.
