TV A Crítica Introduces ChyronHego Virtual Graphics to Cup Viewers

TV Record affiliate, TV A Crítica, has integrated ChyronHego Virtual Placement into its existing Lyric PRO-based BlueNet workflow to bring high-quality virtual graphics to air during its World Cup program, Arena Show de Bola.

The launch marks Brazil’s first ChyronHego Virtual Placement production, bringing TV A Crítica’s viewers Lyric PRO content ranging from leader boards and team standings, to player statistics and SHOUT social media commentary  — all from within a 3D augmented reality space.

“We needed a powerful virtual solution to help provide the best possible World Cup coverage for our audience,” said Director/President of Systems at Crítica de Rádio e Televisão, Dissica Calderaro. “From within our BlueNet workflow, Virtual Placement is enabling our talent to produce highly intensive graphics and augmented reality content both in-studio and outdoors. The end result is an engaging story that keeps the fans at home well informed and enjoying every moment of the games.”

“ChyronHego is excited to expand our production enhancement offerings into new markets like Brazil,” said ChyronHego Vice President of Latin America, Aldo Campisi. “Virtual Placement offers broadcasters like TV A Crítica a cost-effective sensorless solution that requires no calibration, adding tremendous flexibility and speed to the production cycle. We are delighted to be working with our local dealer Video Systems in playing a key role in TV A Crítica’s innovative live coverage of the World Cup.”
