Ventuz to demo 4k real-time graphics at IBC
With the wide adoption of 4K and Ultra HD (UHD) resolutions in the industry, broadcasters are searching for ways to improve their graphics production and display to meet the requirements of an increasingly demanding audience. The real-time software developer Ventuz and the hardware manufacturer eyevis are joining forces at this year’s IBC to present the combination of their graphics design capabilities and display technology expertise.
The Ventuz software suite has become a standard tool in the broadcast graphics market as well as presentations and event production, offering flexible design possibilities and extensive multitouch options. Additionally, Ventuz allows the creation of real-time graphics at 4k resolutions and beyond, powering massive video walls or LED displays controlled by Ventuz cluster solutions. The company will use these features at IBC to demo 4k 3D real-time content for in-studio installations.
The 4k Ventuz content will be shown on eyevis’ 85’’ Ultra HD display with 50/60 Hz of type EYE-LCD-8500-QHD-LD, a new model which is to be introduced to the public at IBC 2014. This high-end device offers a wide variety of features essential to professional 4k broadcasting, such as 50/60 Hz image frequency, easy adjustment of the color temperature as well as its brilliant contrast of 3000:1.
Ventuz and eyevis share a long history of collaboration, having accompanied each other to numerous exhibitions over the years. “We strive to create devices for outstanding viewing experiences”, explained Max Winck, Marketing Manager of eyevis. “But our displays can only show their potential with excellent content that really pushes the boundaries of graphics design. Ventuz has proven to be the perfect partner in that area; the creative capabilities and graphics power of the software have always impressed us.”
The joint application will be on display at IBC 2014 in Amsterdam on the booth of eyevis, hall 2, stand C66.
